This is at our cabin. I was outside playing when this deer came wandering into the yard. I yelled for my mom “There’s a deer out here and it’s letting me pet it!” At first she thought it might have rabies, but it came right up to us. My mom grabbed a box of oatmeal cookies and it snarfed them down. We found out from neighbors that a pet deer had jumped a fence around five miles away. The owners brought a horse trailer and picked her up.
